“Diving Into the Wreck” ~ Adrienne Rich

I have many gifts.

One of my personal favorites is my ability to complicate things that should be straightforward.

Over the past few months, I have been collecting material (“content?”) that I thought I might post on this blog.

The title of my blog came easily. Daughter of Circe. Circe is most associated with the power of Transformation. More to come about her later.

What has been a challenge is deciding what I wish to share with the world.

The academic in me began writing about the significant role mythology and archetypes play in our contemporary lives. After hours of research, which I thoroughly enjoyed, I had something resembling a course syllabus rather than an introduction to my blog.

How much of my writing am I ready to share with the world?

The honest answer is I have no idea.

However, I suspect the only clear way forward is to “dive into the wreck” by writing about the experiences I have been having that made me think such a blog was necessary.

I need a life line because I was, quite frankly, drowning.
